12/27/08 - 01/03/09 Family vacation to Egypt: The family decide to try our first international flight with Baxley. We were going to spend New Years in Egypt! We booked a tour group that included a boat ride up the Nile from Luxor to Edfu. Then hopped a local flight back to Cairo to visit the pyramids. Baxley traveled extremely well!!! We along with all other members in our tour group were very impressed with how well behaved he was. The Egyptians seem to really love babies! Baxley was making friends everywhere
he went. At one point we were offered free refreshments and trinkets as a "thank
you" for blessing the shop with a new born baby in the new year. Actually
what we did was change his diaper in the shop!!! All in all a great trip with lots of great experiences and photos. Baxley may never remember touching the great Pyramid of Giza, but at least we have the pictures to prove it! Word... |
